Pastor Marv Kormann continues to minister among us. He still brings much enthusiasm to his work and keeps young at heart as he conducts six mini confirmation retreats for our 7th and 8th graders. We have discovered that he has a great thirst for the baptismal experience for every Christian. At the worship services on the first of each month we have the renewal of our baptismal promises. We are reminded of our Christian heritage as we receive a lapel pin of the ICTHUS when our promises are renewed. This has become a strong tradition at St. Paul.
Pastor Kormann has become involved in our Community as he serves on the Southeast Michigan Synod Council. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Christian Council of Detroit-Windsor and serves on the Advisory Board for the Interfaith Health and Hope Coalition. He serves as chairman of the Dearborn-Dearborn Heights Ministerial Association.
Pastor Kormann still finds time to serve us well; gets his exercise and waits for the next challenging book to read. In spite of his gray hair he still preaches a stirring sermon and leads a disturbing Bible class.
