MUSIC
THEATER DAY CAMP 3rd & Up
Established in the summer of 2000 by the musical director at St. Paul,
the Music Theater Day Camp welcomes all children 3rd grade and up
to participate in a week long journey preparing a musical for a Friday
evening performance. Students will receive coaching
in acting, singing and dance. In addition to helping the younger children,
the teens will prepare their own show for the first time this summer.

YOUTH
CHOIR 2nd to 6th Grade
All interested children in second through sixth grade may attend choir
practice Wednesday afternoons led by the Director of Music. The youth
choir sings once each month during the 8:30 a.m. worship service and
also sings at various functions during the church year, such as the
WELCA Salad Supper, or Advent by Candlelight events. The children
often accompany their own singing with various musical instruments.

SUNDAY
SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Sunday School at St. Paul Lutheran |
|
Church dates
back
to 1871 (St. Paul was established October 22, 1870). Members of St.
Paul have always recognized the importance of a solid |
 |
|
| educational
program. As a result, St. Paul takes great pride in the quality of
its programs which are rich in tradition and alive in proclaiming
and sharing God's Word.
Sunday School classes are offered for the whole
family on Sunday mornings from 9:45a.m.- 10:45a.m. Classroom activities
for children 2 1/2 years through 12th grade include instruction
centered around a Bible story and supported by crafts, music and
or games. Study opportunities for adults and young adults include
Bible study, forums and discussions on special topics.

ROTATIONAL
STUDIES Pre-K to 6th Grade
A new approach to learning was introduced to the Sunday School in
the fall of 2001. This concept evolves around the study of the same
Bible story for 4-5 consecutive weeks. The children rotate to a different
classroom each week to investigate the bible story through the following
methods: music, puppets, video, drama, arts & crafts, or games.
This method allows each student new and creative ways to learn about
the bible while reinforcing the general principal of the story being
told over the 4-5 weeks.
